Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I see a request for a massive rate increase soon.

Saying the rates can no longer support good service.

    Congratulations! @Hunterdc1 That's exciting news!

Y'all beat me to it. I was going to suggest Chase as I think it means to hunt or huntsman.

Yeah, I agree. Our previous 85lbs pitbull was Chester. He was the best damn watch dog we ever had. UPS wouldn't even ring the door bell, because his bark was so menacing. :rofl:Current pitbull is Charlie, but I call him Chuck usually. He's half couch potato and half mooch.

IDK why, but I feel like this picture of me trying to demonstrate how an anemone will retract when poked is relatable to this group

Rural living always provides something to do...

    KIMG3369.jpg

That was the base to the old coal bin, 8x8x2 and holds 3 tons. It was made of 3/4" OSB and 2x4s with a double thick bottom. It sat of PT 4x4s, the only thing salvageable.

If you happen to be wondering, OSB absorbs a lot of water after 15 years outside...

Funny, when you want something to last a bit longer, that last gallon of gas for instance - it doesn't.

The plan was to run out all the coal this spring. Yeah, right.

    KIMG3373.jpg

550 pounds later... (a pail holds about 50 pounds)

I do actually use the truck for work occasionally. We will see how much it weighs tomorrow.

    KIMG3371.jpg

Cleaned things up a bit with the old Ford garden tractor. Another day I will cut the brush and pick up the junk that I have been tossing back there for years.

    KIMG3372.jpg

This is the size coal I use, called "Stove" coal, once common for hand fired household boilers & furnaces.
Stove is the largest size before you get into industrial furnace coal.

    KIMG3374.jpg

This cargo net (from AMZ) is really nice, I haven't jacked with a tarp since getting it. County law enforcement likes to hang out on the road to the landfill - it is a hefty fine for an uncovered load - not that this heavy wet stuff would blow off at 100 mph...

This chart is on the wall at my coal dealer.

Over the years I have found the larger coal works best in the old stove, he picks (with a loader) my order off the top of the pile to get the largest pieces.

One year by mistake he got one load of industrial furnace coal, about 3X larger than the stove size, much of it was the size of 1/2 a football and some I had to break with a hammer to fit in the stove door. Best burning coal I ever had.
