Hell I've lived in Summerville since 1984 and you talking about seeing some changes man I want to leave this place bad

 

I won't leave. I figure one good tropical mess and they will shit and leave. Years ago I cleaned carpet in a new move in for people from Florida. They fled there for here because of hurricanes. I asked if they realized Hugo was super close to here for landfall and that our storms typically will flood a ton of places out. They looked shocked! Meanwhile.....all that rain makes me money..and the transplants want cleans during normal times, so I make money there too. same with old plumbing and whatnot I will just wait them all out! Lol

 

Luckily I could moderately afford the East Camelback/Arcadia area but the cost of living increase is definitely more...

 

We do decals but I don’t have that Toyota font. I used to get all my decals from @sockmonkey

If we didn't build on family land in Elgin (tree farm) I'd go upstate. But we're on a pond, can hunt deer, fish, shoot, and close to just about everything. Area is growing like mad like you said though.

 

Was just up in Greenville a few weekends ago. Downtown has grown. Plenty of restaurants. I wouldn't want
to live up there if I had to commute into Greenville for work. If you are remote than plenty of towns outside of
Greenville would be better. But I am sure it's expensive to live up there just like down here in Chucktown.

 

Come on over to Goose Creek. Easy 15 minute drive to your shop in Hanahan.

Sadly I don't think any of this is getting better as far as people moving here. everyone has kids, their kids have kids etc and their town and our towns fill up and spill out into the neighboring towns so on so forth. I think its more of population in general problem than a people moving from out of state problem. We'll have India and china numbers in no time!

 

I admit tho, I do love people watching in the stores when there is a threat of tropical weather. Same as when there is potential for snow or ice. In sangaree, we would all head up to the frontage road to watch the spectacle of those driving on the ice (whatever year that snow stayed for days). So I think long timers here at least have some entertainment? And many just don't have common sense.....Hah

 

I only lived there for 7 years and it got out of control fast. We thought Elgin was oils be far enough out but we were wrong.

 

Picked up new wheels for the FJC from Lugoff Toyota today.

 

Anyone have access to a plasma table need some rock rings made . Reached out to a few people said the can do them but haven't given me prices and I need these done soon
