There's a mildly built white RC local to me, I love seeing it around!

I've got a slightly updated itinerary I'll try to post tonight, we'll be coming through Ouray the 14th I believe, on the way to alpine loop that night, then end in silverton Friday the 15th.

    Updated plan!

9/8 - Group meet in Eureka, NV Friday night.

9/9 - Eureka, NV to Moab, UT. Camping at Dewey Creek Group Site C

9/10 - Running Onion Creek/Thompson Canyon to Hurrah Pass. Camping at Hunter Canyon Group Site.

9/11 - Continue Hurrah Pass onto Chicken Corners, possibly dispersed camp or The Ledge BLM camp.

9/12 - Runs Fins and Things, dispersed Camping most likely.

9/13 - Leave Moab, catch Rim Rocker Trail in Naturita to Montrose. Likely camp above montrose on Rim Rocker.

9/14 - Begin Alpine loop Engineer/Cinnamon Pass. Camp above Lake City.

9/15 - Finish Alpine loop into Silverton, hotel night, my bday. Brewery crawl. :D

9/16-19 - Begin the trek back to CA, the next few days are still up in the air. Probably head south, stop at 4 corners, through monument valley, maybe a pit stop at grand canyon. I have to be back to work by 9/20 so there's a couple of days to play with.

@Nonamesleft4u much appreciated for offer of the land to camp on! Black Bear is closed and that rerouted our plans south heading home instead of north. Next time! Or if you make it to CA hit me up! I might know a couple spots around here! ;)

Great itinerary. If we can stay in the same place on the nights of the 11-12th, that would be ideal. I prefer not running Fins n Things with the Bean.

ooh that sounds fun, fyi they had no camping signs past chicken corners last year when i was there, not sure it was temporary or if they are doing what they did to rabbit valley and made backcountry camping reservation only .. :annoyed:

No dispersed Camping? Or no camping at all? Recreation.gov had a group site at the ledge as well as a couple regular sites available to book...we were just gonna rough it though

ah my bearings were a little off, theres a fork on the way to chicken corners which takes you into canyonlands if you go left. that is the area that recently had the no camping signs posted. the ledge sites look like they still have the iron ranger

Is the trail to the dispersed camping spots easy enough to tow a teardrop trailer to?

Any idea where you're headed? I've got about 4 days to play with to get back to CA, was thinking grand canyon but also maybe Joshua tree or hoover dam...

We were thinking about going over Cinnamon on motorcycles the night you are there. Maybe we can swing in for birthday beverages. Enjoy your trip. You have a great itinerary
