@Ripcord has a great write up on this.
https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ripcords-spruce-mica-build.552033/page-6#post-18984720 Post #108 in his build thread. I opted to use counter sink washers instead of counter sinking into the plastic flares. I’ve had no issues with the flares coming off now even at excessively high speeds.

Got my brand new 3GEN OR takeoffs mounted up on my 2013. I had thought about selling it, but this is better than a payment rn.

I tried installing the alpharex double tap fog lights, I didnt have foglights before so I thought this would be a good upgrade. The Issue is that they dont fit. the space between the tab things are 1" and the stock ones are 1 3/16". I called them explaining my issue and they said that they sold plenty of them and no one has returned them with my issue. I searched the forms and found one other person that had my issue. So I will probably end up returning them. One major reason why I bought alpharex was because Ive had a good experience with there headlights and tailights and these foglights you can get them with a wiring harness and switch which is perfect since I dont have fog lights yet. So I probably wont run fog lights for a while now. If someone could measure the space on their fog lights between the two things that stick out where you screw in or slid the thing in that would be great. I would like to know if it is 1 3/16" or if it is 1" and my truck is just weird where its that extra 3/16"

Got the truck back. Needed a new steering rack and pinion, something that was long overdue due to costs. Now, it drives like butter!!

Ready to get back on those trails now!

How long did it take for you to get them? I'm looking at some of those trim pieces, but can't decide which ones since not all at the same time haha

Did the cowl intake mod in preparation for a fender trim. Covered up the HVAC intake with chicken wire to stop leaves and such from going into the cabin filter. Still need to put edge trim on the intake hole, but came out pretty good! Tons of room for a bigger air compressor now too

I've been wanting to do this since I've trimmed my fenders but afraid about the visual inspection come time to smog my truck.

Same, I’ve heard it doesn’t pass visual in CA. I’m keeping the old intake up in the rafters for when it’s time for smog. Only a few band clamps to unscrew when that time comes so I’m not too worried about it. Thought about buying this guy’s 3D printed kit for the old 4” intake hole in the fender so it’ll be easy to take on/off when it’s smog time too.

I'll check that out. I weigh my options. I was thinking of staying oem and go with the TRD intake.

True, that’s always an option. At least this is reversible too unlike a snorkel, but still have to swap it out every 2 years…

seat was showing its age. found an oem replacement online from a Toyota dealer in Calgary. They had parts manuals and diagrams on their website and I was able to order several gem replacement parts. I live about 5 hours from the nearest dealership so it was nice to get the parts delivered

Transfered the OEM motor into the after market 4 runner housing and ran all the wiring necessary to connect the turn signals, heated mirrors, and puddle lamp. The hard part is going to be connecting everything, since my 07 is not pre wired. Going to give the housing arm a spray tomorrow to give it that newer look.

anyone have a sport w the cheesy base speaker in the middle of the back seat? I might look into removing that thing and seeing if a full bench seat is available. I guess Incase a passenger back there needs more room or something ha
