I am also looking to disable the chime. However I am only interested in cutting the damn chime off. I do not want to defeat the seat belt light or anything.

Have anyone been able to locate that damn chime?? I've tried to find it but it so darn hard to locate it.

Hey! I know this was pretty old but I wanted to bring this up because doing this is genuinely more dangerous than you probably think it is! If anyone is considering doing this please know that you are certainly turning your passenger airbag off AT ALL TIMES! no matter the person's weight. The dealer told me that it may have been a reason why the DRIVERS SIDE AIRGABG DIDNT DEPLOY when the previous owner had wrecked mine. You will not be able to turn the airbag back on unless you replace the spring. A previous owner did this to mine and it was super annoying to find and figure this out.

Here's my thread where I spent a nearly a day tracking this down. Major PITA. Don't do it! if you want it off, code it off like a normal person
