I am not sure of the terrain hence the pre ride to see how doable it will be. We can and get a good feel to let some guy like yourself know what to expect and or what route Not to take. Our last outting was cut short due to the trail and wash-out. Still made for a great camping wheeling trip. Ive got some good recovery gear if you come along on this one. Locker is a good game changer and keeps options open.

Parts of CK access are red/black (ratings of trails in the FunTreks trail guide). Others are green/blue. I live in Chandler so do not spend as much time on those roads as I would like.

I read the op as the actual trail run lol I would also be willing to come along for the 2 WHEEL POINT OF VIEW (that rhymed in my head) incase any other fellow 2 wheelers wanted to come along for the actual ride. I can climb a bit, but like I said no 4 wheel, so nothing crazy. And based on previous events I should have recovery gear, but I don't so yours may come in handy.

2022 OR 4WD. I would drive from Chandler for a scouting drive with people who will not kill my windshield or me during a recovery.

Even with sxs traffic anyone want to do Backway to Crown King day trip? Thinking maybe a Saturday Mid October (14th or 21st)? It's one of those trails that's on my list and I prefer not to go alone but will.

Edited the days, had calender on wrong month

Lol my tacoma definitely couldn't make it, and the next option is the sxs. I rarely take it out, but the last time I went to CK, we got held up by like 7 bone stock Jeeps that got stuck

I made the mistake of following a few buddies in SXSs. It was a good thing I carry gear, they broke tie rods, burped tires and even blew a lower ball joint... We were out so long without service our ladies got worried and called the Sherriff, Search N rRescue came out with the chopper and found us in full repair mode! 4 hour ride turn into 13..It Was fun though!

I've put a bunch of billet goodies on the rzr, and I don't think anythings broke yet (knock on wood). It's also got some purple powder coated goodies as well (LCAs, UCAs, aftermarket cage, bull bar, etc.). It's like all the money went into that rather than the tacoma

You've got to get on that Garmin inReach train. It's relatively inexpensive peace of mind being able to text my wife when out in BFE. Or Zoleo, it also uses the Iridium satellite network and has great reviews.

It's a nice piece of equipment but wasn't around when I bought my Garmin Mini. It's basically the same thing though. The mini can do some very basic navigation but it's certainly not great as a primary navigation device so I use it solely for off grids comm's, which at that point, it might as well be the inreach messenger.
