What a great bunch of answers. My old 2009 Tacoma had been abused badly with the exception of the engine which was "maintained" but 5k oil changes was the rule. I worked the crap out of that truck. A lot of the logging roads in Maine with no regard for what I bounced off. One of the bird dogs always got car sick and had vomited on the seats but damm that Brittany could hunt. It had carried a couple moose and less than half out of ton of granite I bought at the quarry. There's a lot to be said about NOT worrying about your next gouge. I loved that truck and I feel like I've abandoned her. I feel so dirty. I should have just thrown 8 or 9k at it and been done with it for another 100k. WTH do you do when the ball and chain nags and nags you to buy a new truck? You buy one. I bought a 2021 with 19k on it for $36,000. I'm sure I don't want to know what I should have paid for it. It's supposed to be a good year and I'm certain it'll be a fine truck. Plus the powered rear window is the nuts. I guess I gotta buy Sirius and maps and definitely get some better tunes cranking. Went to the truck stuff store for steps or running boards for hauling Mom around. The guy was very cool. He recommended one of those little molded plastic 2 stepstool you can get at Wally world. The guy was so thoughtful I ordered winter floor mats along with the bed mat. Boy doodads for a truck cost a bloody fortune. You know the drill TA2016. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. It's a 6ft bed and i think mother will be more comfortable with the coming bed mat. She says she slams into the sides cause she slides around too much. Can I have your old stool? aficionado all that 2009 needed was someone to give it some love but it needed to be owned by a lug nut who could work on it. I haven't been under the hood of a car since 1976. A fine 1970 Corona deluxe. Hey when your old you ramble?

When shopping for running boards, the 2nd generation fits on the third generation of trucks.
