16" SCS SR8's 33" Toyo Open Country M/T Leer XL100 camper shell Arkon tablet mount/tablet running torque pro OME Lift
I purchased mine in California in 2016, packed up all my stuff, and drove it to Alaska where is lives currently. 07/95 Cardinal Red Tacoma LX 3.4L MT 4x4 A.D.D with 215k.
The truck had some rancho branded replacement rear shocks and an aftermarket radio/sub system installed when I acquired the vehicle and I have since made some additional modifications.

-Swapped the factory 15" wheels with some 16" SCS SR8's in matte gunmetal wrapped in Toyo Open Country M/T 285/75R16 tires (Had to remove windshield washer jar for clearance but was able to fit with zero rubbing)
-Added a used black Leer XL100 camper shell I got from a random used camper shell lot in California for $500
-Swapped the sealed headlamp units for Sylvania housings that accept standard bulbs
    -Tundra brake swapped
    -3.5" OME lift
    -JBA upper control arms
    -Ram mount added to dash
-60/40 bench seat Replaced with S-Runner bucket seats and center console

One day, many many years from now, when the engine needs to be replaced... I will replace it with something that has a little more pep.

    I originally posted (#782 and #783 on page 40).

I changed all the fluids, hoses, T-stat, plugs, reset the valves, replaced the exhaust manifold (cracked) with the 2000+ "header" ($64 at a local wrecking yard) and replaced the tires. Driveshaft carrier bearing.

I also replaced every A/C component, except one hardline (not available) ... That was condenser, dryer, evaporator, compressor, hoses... Free loaner tools (vac pump and guage manifold set) and a few You Tube videos, and the A/C was up and running. A/C has worked great for the past 2 years.

After I did all the maintenance, the radiator cracked, so I replaced it.

Replaced the rear window slider latch...

Installed new 31x10.5 tires from Walmart. Inexpensive brand, but semi-aggressive sidewall.

I put about 5500 miles on it and getting ready to change the oil again. I drive a 2 hour/ 125 miles trip (each way) about every 3-4 weeks. It cruises fine at 75-80MPH...

Seems to have a shifting problem, a little notchy... But clutch is good, holds fine and doesn't grab near the floor... But it's harder to shift when sitting at a stop light... Shifts fine when rolling.

Next up, fixing the intermittent clock and driver's seat-belt retractor... And still considering a new stereo...

Cruise control won't work, but I think it's the switch. I can't adjust enough to get both the clutch-start switch AND the cruise-control switch to engage...

My only complaints are lack of keyless entry (despite power locks), I looked for the RSV3000 stuff behind the kick panels, but nothing... The other issues are no steering wheel audio controls, and I wish my brother had bought the V6...

Sorry guys, I was busy lately not having much time to monitor the forum. But finally I did catch up and updated the list. If I missed something please let me know.
Now living in a country and working from home I don't need to drive that much - I added 2k miles in the last year. At that rate I will die first before this truck.

Here's my 1995.5 2WD Manual 2.4 4cyl with 310K. Built 03/95. 20221201_093239.jpg No leaks, excellent interior, garage kept, with original decals. Bought this September 2022 from Original owner with all maintenance records done by Toyota in Southern California. Its is my DD and plan on keeping it stock, at least for the time being.
I get about 26-28 mpg. Drive 50 highway miles to work. Purrs like a .

My 06/95 with 121k, 2.4cyl 5spd, in Evergreen Pearl. Perfect condition under the hood, just painted some trim and replaced all lights. Pulling some dents, paint correction, and then new decals all around next. Keeping it completely stock for a nice little "desert truck" to bum around in.

Just bought this "rescue" rebuilt 5/1995 1st Gen Taco 3.4L, 4x4, A/T, Manual Hubs, 116K miles. An original California truck with a no rust frame and body.

Was owned for 25 years in California by one owner then sold in Cali and within 2years of the sale was wrecked and totaled. Not a great rebuild/paint job but I bought it for no rust, relatively low mileage driveline and 4x4.

It had a rough ride during the wreck but after three weeks of tweaking it to my standards and a 1200 mile trip up from Texas to Wisconsin, it will work out nicely for my needs.

New to TacomaWorld! Stoked to be here. Figured I’d share a little about my Taco,

    1995.5 5speed 2rz 2wd xtracab

owned since last year this time. Bought from my younger bro, he used it as a work truck for 5+years “pulling sod, mower equipment, material loads and so much more” She currently sits at 293k on the dash. Makes me the third “proud” owner. My bro sold it to myself after his business and family grew. My bro has owned and been modifying his Taco which is a 1997 5speed 2rz RegCab for 10+ years now. Family owned since original as well. His Taco has definitely inspired my build with mine. His is now a weekend cruiser and autox beast. I’ll throw in a picture or 2 of his as well. If anyone has any questions about either just let me know. Happy to answer. Thanks for the read, here are some pictures of the build so far. IMG_3379.jpg IMG_3701.jpg IMG_3912.jpg

Here is my 5/1995 under bed liner discovery for my salvage find.

A California truck all its life. I'm finding a lot of tan trail dust everywhere in the vehicle.

The frame is immaculate which was one of the reasons I even considered buying a salvage vehicle, plus the relatively low mileage (116K) on the engine and drivetrain and one owner for 25 years.

When sold from the long term owner it was crashed within 2 years before the rebuilder got it and resurrected it (albeit somewhat sloppily).

I apologize for the late response, haven't been very active.

Its a trailgear rock defense low profile.
    https://trail-gear.com/armor/bumpers/tacoma-rock-defense-low-profile-front-bumper-95-04.html
I think back when I got it in 2016 it was only around $400....

Its been pretty great though, holds my winch and drilled into it to mount the light bar.
Very sturdy, although the mounting points seem to be a weak point.
I got into a small (at least for my truck) accident with it, which has left the bumper not sitting perfectly straight on the truck. It is now angled about 5degrees up, but is otherwise perfect undamaged. It totaled the civic that was involved though, so I suppose I can't ask for much more.

Sorry for being away - other duties, and because my Taco kept running without problems, so I had no pressed needs to look for help to TW :)

I have updated the list - we have reached 100 trucks listed here.:hbd: Amazing vehicles, almost 30 years and they keep going like that Duracell bunny.
