What lumber/ladder rack works with the OEM Tri fold tonneau and the in bed Toyota Track system? This is my first little truck cannot understand how a truck does not offer a rear rack that works with its rear track and factory supplied tonnea. Understand I can purchase a roll tanneau but WTF isn’t a option made without tossing/replacing new components by a company supposedly quality conscious

Remove the Tri fold & replace with locking roller seems to be the “cure”. Then why is a truck sold with an unusable tonneau; for those that actually WORK with their trucks. Guess the rear antique brakes explains it all

Well... Welcome to the forum :hattip:
    I guess...

Sorry you are so dissatisfied with your truck and the company as a whole. They do sell 1/4 million of them a year. :notsure:

The Tacoma isn't really marketed at people who "actually WORK" their trucks - look at all the advertising, nowhere will you find ladder racks, roofing contractors, brick masons or horse trailers -- this is and always has been marketed as a lifestyle image truck.

As far as the antique rear brakes go - they work reliably and are cheap to fix.
If lack of rear brake capacity becomes an issue with a Tacoma you are doing something way outside of the trucks design.

Why do idiots buy vehicles AND then check if it meets their needs?

The factory tonneau cover is an option, and most would agree not a very good one. I don't understand how it closes the bed off and covers the track system would allow for mounting points for a bed rack. Can the op please draw up a picture so a dumb person such as myself can understand what you are looking for?
