coming up on 60k, when doing the trans. fluid change, should I also look into replacing the filter? or when should I look into replacing the filter?

Do people really change the serpentine belt at 100k?

Did my spark plugs today with the help of the video in post 1. Saved so much time knowing the tips on how to get to everything on the drivers side. Here’s 90k on original plugs and my trick to not loose the socket when you put new plugs back in.

Most definitely. Chirping or not, 100k is a great window to do this easy and cheap swap.

Awesome work and pics showing the difference between old and new. I'll tell you, I also used electrical tape... I just didn't wrap mine as tight as I should have that time and it left the spark plug socket down there when the extension pulled free. Had to go source some long needle nose pliers and a little bathroom drain grabby claw to get it out...

I still owe us a video on this yet I am currently in Eastern Europe doing job things for a while. My Tacoma, like many 3rd gens, has a permanent filter with only a metal screen in it. Only to be replaced if damaged somehow. You might have a fibrous filter but I have not seen a correlation to screen vs fibrous filters yet with years and trims etc. I'll get around to showing us I promise.

    Thanks brother!

Mileage intervals will be very similar yes. Instructional videos of course will be quite different aside from tire rotation, cabin filters, etc. Good luck!

Thanks brother! Cheers to some good food and a beer or three

Wow! Nice! Are you the V6 Automatic? I assume you just got the truck? Does it have a recorded maintenance history? If you are the original owner and have neglected everything else on this list I suggest knocking it all out. But surely the truck has had much of it's routine done i.e. serpentine, spark plugs, diff fluid etc
