    Hello,
I have been having some issues with my tacomas airflow. It is a 2012 trd off-road. I have replaced both the cabin air filter along with the engine air filter and I even took the time to install a new blower motor. But, when I turn my air system on, there is very minimal airflow. But I can hear my blower motor working and I can see it spinning when I have the cabin filter out. Another note is that my blower motor is kind of noisy even though it is brand new. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
    Thank you!

You replace the resistor under there next to the fan motor? I ended up having to do that one and then the fan motor also a few months later.

Make sure it's spinning the right direction.

I haven’t done the resistor yet.. that was probably my next course of action. I just assumed there would be more air going out due to the fact that I can hear the blower motor working at different speeds depending on what I have my climate fan speed set to. There just is barely any air pressure coming out.

Resistor will affect blower speed. If it’s going out which is common on these trucks it could very well be the culprit.

The resistor is bypassed on high so if it isn't any better on high it isn't the resistor.

Sweet. I’ll replace that next. Do you think that could be causing my blower motor to be noisy as well? It almost sounds as if it’s working hard. Even though the blower motor is brand new. Thanks

Mine wouldn’t work on high at all. Changed the resistor and got all speeds back to normal. 6 months later the fan motor went out.

Make sure something didn't fall down in the blower and make sure it's turning the correct direction, if nothing is stuck in it and it's turning the right way it may just be a shitty part.

Not sure what was going on there as the resistor is not used when the switch is on high.

When you had the fan out, did you look into the air box and down the duct to see if there was a blockage?

With the AC on and the Recirculating button ON. Is air blowing out the cabin air filter opening hard?
It shouldn’t be, as air is drawn down from above the filter, through the filter and into the duct work.

I figured it out. The person before me swapped in a crappy blower motor resistor and along with that did not wire it correctly. They wired it backwards so the motor in turn was spinning backwards. Thank you all for your help!
