OK. So I am 62 and have driven US made trucks my whole life. Until a week ago. Traded in my 2016 crew cab powerstroke creme puff with 56k miles and bought a 21 TRD Tacoma M/T. 12k miles. The previous owner put in Fox 2.5’s The big boy shocks with adjusters, really nice UCA’s, Ebach coils and high end rear suspension for a 2.5-3” lift and the clutch accumulator retrofit in the short time he owned it. Score! OK so NOW I get it. What a well thought out and executed truck. I am smitten and seriously impressed. What a fun truck to drive. No more land yacht for me. O don't tow heavy anymore and I feel almost athletic in this nimble little monster. I am about halfway to getting me a jacket with a rising sun logo. I thought the aftermarket was robust for my Wrangler. Lol. Ima be broke dick for awhile now. Bakfkip cover, TRD Wheels and 255/80/17 ATlll already on way. I bought this last weekend. Lol. What a great piece. I am thrilled. And at my age, other than being able to pee well, somewhere within a day of needing to, not much thrills me anymore. This is good. Really good.

Welcome. Dang, where are you guys when I'm looking for a cream puff truck? I would make room for the right powerstroke.

This thing was a unicorn. Lariat black leather. All options. Not a scratch, ding, blemish. Airlift bags with onboard remote control air. Bed slider. Snugtop. KMC’s witj ATlll’s the dealer actually went nuts and gave me retail. I bought it new in 2016. Had a boxing match witj cancer that went into the championship rounds so it sat in my shop most of it life, driven 7-8k year avg.

Looking for my 1st Tacoma as well, preferably a 3rd gen, search continues. Too many people are listing it way above KBB and other similar Tacoma's with similar equipment.

Yes. I found out real quick, they ask a lot and get pretty much what ask for these trucks. They are nearly a cult following kind of deal. The 4runners are even worse. The used market has actually softened a bit due to the low rates that the factory is offering for financing on new trucks. The cap costs are higher than a kite though. I hear you man. These trucks are expensive and unfortunately, my experience was that there were about 10 people pulling at the bit right behind me, all willing to pay asking price. I lucked in. I just happened to scan my daily Tacoma for sale search and this one popped up, was perfect for me, had a slightly diminished value because someone had installed 4 grand of Fox 2.5 Pro struts and shocks in it, (Dealer was not used to seeing that ) it was super low milage with a manual trans and the dealer paid me big for my power-stroke. Usually, my luck don't run that direction. I can say that I am thrilled with it. Just installed the F1 Bakfkip hard cover and the TRD wheels with 275/70/18 Wildpeaks just showed up. I thought my Jeep Wrangler had a robust aftermarket. Lol. Good luck. It will happen when you least expect it.

I just figured out that the previous owner installed “Raptor “ lights in the grill. I thought they were factory stuff. Lol. A little bit racer boy for my taste, but what the hell. They are there. They hooked them into the fog / driving light circuit. I think I will install a factory style rectangular push switch and a small SPST relay circuit for them. I have an available panel cut out, so that will be clean. I can’t wait to drive my kid nuts when he sees these. I got serious street cred with the kids behind the Fox suspension. I am the cool dad for another couple of months maybe. Thanks very much everyone for the kind comments.
