Replacing fog/drl bulbs

What I am seeing does not match what's on the dealer site (used the VIN) or what's in the manual. Both show the socket part of the bulb pointed downwards, wiring plugged into that. Wiring goes straight into the back of the fog lamp housing. What gives? I know, not the best picture.

Manual does say LEDs, and what they show (diagram) does not match.

 

Or pull bulb and pull part number from said bulb

 

Is it broken or not working?

 

Wanting to switch to amber lights.

 

I can’t see from the pic,but if it just has a plug on the back It may be an assembly…

Apparently, according to the Toyota dealer, mine has drl/fog lamps NOT in the manual. Whole assembly would have to be replaced.

 

The LED fog units are sealed assemblies. They do not take a bulb. If you put yellow film on the lens you'll end up with a very funky green-yellow color. If you out a dark enough amber to have "yellow" fogs, they'll be uselessly dim.
