Got back from vacation yesterday. Got everything put away today, errands ran, and then a little time to start on the tear down. I at least wanted to get the shocks off so they can get sent off for their rebuild.

Got the skids, control arms, and axles pulled tonight. Also cleaned up all of the areas in and around the fender wells. I will put some fresh paint on everything before reassembly. Also got a call from the shop rebuilding the shocks looks like they are on schedule to be complete by Friday. Both bottom bearings were toast which I knew as soon as I pulled them and the shafts had light pitting but it isn’t leaking so I’m going to skip out on replacing the shafts this go around and will plan on it next rebuild.

Also pulled up the new arms to compare them. Can’t wait to get them mounted up!

Got the front end put back together last night sitting. I’m at the alignment shop now and then I’ll attack the rear later today which should be quick.395C5161-8E06-4CCF-9EA9-01A9B7C4242A.jpg

Got the front end aligned today then came home and did the rear. Rear was super easy and super quick. Only pic I took was right before I put the new third inF7767101-183E-4DC4-BD94-413A70852E1C.jpg

And I took a finished photo. I left my skids off and will paint then this week. By Thursday night I should have 500 miles on the gears with 10 heat cycles and I will do my break in oil change then re install my skids. Gears feel great and I’m glad I chose 4.88s. Suspension refresh also feels great and didn’t realize how much it was needed. Excited to wheel this thing next weekend and in the upcoming months!

Picked up MESO’s old rack. Super happy with it. Looks great on the truck now just need to get all of the lighting wired in. Looking at picking up a power tray and stech 6 switch set up. Going to call this week and see if they are running a Black Friday special if not I’ll order sooner.

Ordered a power tray, stech 6 switch set up, breaker, low voltage cut off switch, and misc blue seas accessories today. Also ordered struts for the front hood. Still working out a way to get the wiring down from the roof. I think I have a solution will tinker with it more this weekend

Made great progress tonight. My dad came by and lent a second hand which was awesome. Got the power tray and stech switch installed under the hood. Also got all of my old wiring cleaned up. Tomorrow I will get the switch inside hooked up and wire routed to the roof. Should be complete by tomorrow afternoon

I’ll clean up the top of the tray once I run the wires tomorrow from the terminal strip to the roof

More progress today. Switch set up is awesome, I can’t recommend S-Tech enough. Scott the owner was amazing to deal with and has a top notch product. For wire routing I used sprinkler wire and took a 18/5 up each side of the windshield. It fit perfect in the crevice and I set in using black silicone. I then put all lights in pairs so nothing is drawing more than 60 watts.
