What are you planning to do with the truck? Intended use? This will help us reccomend you a setup within your budget.

More than a 3 inch lift will require a drop bracket style lift (more than $800 and permanently removes part of your frame). Even at 3 inches you are drastically dropping the lifespan of your CVs. Use the search box up in the top right corner and you'll find a bzillion answers to your question.

Here's something that was sticky'd on the 3rd gen forum that would probably be worth reading.

Yea man all I want to do is just make it look nice and I am in Florida so hurricane/ off-roading. Also don't want the huge gaps in between the tires and truck so looking at that too.

I have heard a lot of good from bilstein stuff

Being that you're 4wd the only proper options for over 3" of lift are outside of your budget. Have you considered staying under 3"?

For $800 bucks though, probably not going to happen. Will you self install? You okay with cutting your frame's crossmember out?

No I really like the 3+ (lift kits) I can go up but not over 1000 because I still have to get the tires an all.

Do you recommend any kits? This includes any height over 3+ inches for the kit

There are so many out there. Good ones are around 2” of lift. If you're not planning on off-roading then it doesn’t really matter what lift you do. Do research and check out threads about which lifts you might like. Ride quality etc. most of all have fun!!!

For $1000 you might be able to buy a cheap drop bracket kit, but will probably be that much again to pay someone to install it.

At $800, a 2/1 space lift installed is what you’re budgeting.
