What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

The Derale controller I'm using is part#16797. I have the override wire(green) connected to the AC clutch relay so as the clutch engages it turns on the fans at around 30%. Once the coolant warms up the temp sensor takes over and ramps up the fans up to 100% as needed. Sounds pretty cool when those fans get going like a jet taxiing down a runway.

 

awe not a bad idea, though my bag is torn up, and has a set of different boards in it, my others are on the top of my Tacoma roof rack.

 

Not sure if you've resolved this by now but if you have oem aluminum or many aftermarket wheels you need ET lug nuts (extended thread) I'm guessing that's what you mean by looking "different where they go into the rim". The other common style is just a conical/acorn seat lug nuts that sits against the wheel differently. Those are only for the oem steel wheels or some aftermarket ones. Amazon has sets of both versions in black or chrome for regular hex style, for splines I have heard good things about the gorilla brand.

 

what vents are those in your hood? been looking for something like that for another car!

Keeps the UV off em. And should keep some of the dirt and mud outta the bed after using em.

I need to figure out a way to set em up so I can pull the bag out with em instead of having the bag attached to the mounts.

I have an idea, I just need to putz around with it now.

Tested the puddle lights and turn signals and they both work fine. For now I'm probably going to put them on and wire them up once I get some free time. Also ordered LED lights bulbs for the puddle lights, and might end up getting the black LED turn signals as well. But that's sometime in the future.

 

Well these are good and heavy duty compared to the stock ones, but they are higher in price but to me well worth it the ones from the factory were junk!

Because the Toyota wheel is a mag seat wheel. You can not use a conical seat lug on them.
