Went back to my dealer I bought it from today because the Brake light did not work and no one including me took the time to check before I drove off last weekend.
Turns out the wiring harness was all wrong and nobody caught it.
Guy who fixed it said they've found a lot of stuff like this since they went south of the border.
Here I was thinking they were still a local SoCal company.
Found this on the web from 2 years ago.

I learned about that last year when I tried to get replacement latches for my fold down front window. Fortunately, I was able to find the exact parts in Home Depot.

I certainly hope the quality does not drop. I really like my SnugTop.

I had the same exact shell for my 2015 Tacoma and after over 8 years it was flawless.
This 2023 has a few different refinements/changes but seems to be just as good of quality as my 2015.

Mexico has been taking over a fair amount of production that used to be done in China. Low labor costs and no cross ocean shipping has been making them more competitive with manufacturing.

I think Softopper went the same route. Might be wrong but I’m pretty sure I saw that mid last year.
