Awesome. Makes me feel better. Did you put in any spacers or just the coil for the 2.5 in. lift?

I don't have any spacers and don't want to do any spacer lift at all. I have a 2019 doublecab longbed. It's different in lift for different models. For mine that's what I got. When I had my 887 coils they felt nice but too squishy for my liking and they sagged badly. This set up is not the best but it's not bad either. You pay for what you get.

Hope ya’ll are still answering on this post! I’m getting ready to upgrade my springs… since this pic I have added a TRD Skid. But will this smallish (75lb) steel bumper (no winch) side steps and TRD Skid warrant 886’s. I’m currently running 5100’s on stock springs at top notch. Please help because I’m almost ready to pull trigger. Thanks Gents!

    I do t think it’s would full warrant 886s
    I’m running 5100s with 886
    Bruteforce hybrid bumper
    BEASTFAB steel engine skid
    Side steps (getting sliders soon)
No winch (hopefully getting on during Black Friday sales)

I currently still need more weight. I think once I add the which I will be okay..
i personally like the current ride but at times (with my kids) I could see why it may be a little rough (says my wife)

Even though I won’t be adding more weight… which is why I was questioning whether or not to use the 886 or 887’s

Why the Switch for the OEM springs?
I’ve heard decent things about 887 as long as you don’t add too much weight

Switching FROM OEM’s to either OME 886’s or 887’s. Just tryin to gauge my needs with the weight I have added, which has already sagged 1/2” from the weight I have added roughly 165lbs with the bumper, steps and TRD Skid

I recommend the 886, my 887 sagged on me with my truck being stock. Don't make the same mistake as I did as well as others. I also been researching the Dobinsons coil 314 just to see what people actually think of it. I heard it doesn't sag and the spring rate is actually lighter than the OME 886. I only looked due to my coils being stiff while on freeway hitting small little bumps I feel my car bouncy and it's not a pleasant feeling. I know I need more weight but I know I won't be getting a front bumper anytime soon.

Yeah 886 sounds like it will work best. mid it’s too stiff, add a winch or sliders later down the road.
Mine performed very well when I took the truck out to Utah two weeks ago

Spoke with the rep @ Dobinsons & Mike @ Exit Off-road… they both suggested the 352’s. It’s supports 110-220lbs of extra weight.

bringing up an old post because even after 5 years of the origianl post. i don't see anywhere where it was discussed what notch was ulitmalty used on the 886. i'm assuming 0

i have a steel bumper, winch, skid, and sliders.

currently i have the 888(medium) on notch 2 and the front is over 2" lower than the rear, which is stock weigth ironman springs, with a tent, rack, gear, and bumper.

the 888s rider super soft. like a cadilac. but the front its too low. the 35s even with cutting rub like crazy.

i installed the 886 on notch 0 today and it is a tad stiffer, but still waaaayy smoother than most factory riding trucks. personally i'm a fan of a littel stiffer shock on road, especially when not running sway bars.

another fun fact. the 887, and 888 all are the same spring rate. 590lbs, but are different lengths. the 886 is 660lb, and stock spring rate is 660(for gen 3), but a shorter spring. this information came to me directly from a tech with OME.
