My normal tank mpg, by mathing it, is 22.3-22.8 or so mpg. Today I got better. Filled her up with regular unleaded and drove 187 miles round trip on fairly flat to flat Texas highways averaging 65-70 mph except for when I took the first pic. We had just come to a dead stop piled up behind an accident at a highway worksite closure. We idled our way forward for about 25 minutes total. When I got home I obviously didn't refill it and do the math, but my dash display is consistently 1.0-1.1 mpg higher than actual mpg. DTE plus trip miles was just south of 460.

This time the TAFE figure is right. Usually it's over by about 1.1 mpg, but maybe that only happens close to empty? I took a quick 75 mile trip into north Houston area today after 11 miles in town on a new tank. I filled back up at the same place, and 3.155 gal made for 27.25883201 mpg.

I've never seen that with my 2020 sr5, right now the air temp is pretty close, but not fuel mileage. Last I checked it was around 20, and change on these short 10 mile round trips, averaging about 45-50 mph.

My 2018 SR5 must be an anomaly. I drive 3.5 miles one way to work. All city. I will average about 23mpg. Tank ave 23-24 (summer), less in Winter like 19-20. Highway a different story. Going 65 I will achieve 30-31 depending on the wind. 27-28 at 70. A trip down to North Carolina I averaged 28.7. I calculated by hand and using the onboard computer. Both were very close. I tow a small starcraft camper (3200 lbs) and will get 18 or so. I wonder if there is a programmable chip in the onboard computer that might control certain functions; perhaps I got the wrong one.

Brand new 2023 OR. I drive a mix of city and highway. Highway driving is on state highways and interstate going around 75 on average. I think I’m fairly cautious, coming off the line somewhat gently. Quite certain my pedal has never come close to hitting the floor.

I’m getting 17.7 average per tank. If I fill up on the highway I can usually average around 19 until I get into the city for the rest of the tank.

That doesn't seem that good. I get better than that and I have 33's.

20mpg over past year. A lot depends on driving style.

People can make the numbers look really impressive (like I did) by filling up in Estes Park, CO and then driving DOWNHILL through Big Thompson Canyon for twenty miles as the elevation decreased! Now, to be honest, I did see 23.9 while driving across Kansas @72 mph on a windless day for a 250 mile stretch of interstate. I think the next fillup and driving showed around 22.5, which is pretty much what I get driving sensibly around Colorado. I drive as much as possible "by the bar" - watching the fuel economy readings for minimal fuel usage. The lowest I usually see is around 21.5.
    V6 4DR SR5 4WD stock 2023 with 245x16 Toyo tires. 6,000 miles on it. I love this truck!

We just finished a 4000 km trip. Stock vehicle with a Diamondback cover and fully laden. Trip was through the Canadian Rockies and out to the coast plus a few days of 4WD’ing. Averaged just under 24 mpg. Can’t complain about that.
