@WickedAx was making an adapter that allowed you to use the stock mic with an aftermarket head unit. However, he was last seen in August and hasn't really posted anything since 2022. I recommend buying the Enfig MIC-TOY1 and installing it in the overhead center console. Just remove the overhead console, install the mic, route the cable along the headliner and down the drivers side a-pillar, then through the dash to the radio. A lot of people who have done this mod say that the Enfig mic outperforms the factory mic. Just remember to get a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter if you're using a Pioneer head unit.

    Nope, wrong reference.
But when you post a picture with visible street signs and your city/state on your profile then it doesn't take much. And since Paris, Lindsay, and Britney weren't really in that car no one's gonna stalk them in your town.

The intent was really just a friendly, "hey, I know that place". Didn't mean to upset anyone.

Replaced the TRD OR wheels with Vision Overlands, 16x8. Kept the AT3 4Ss. Replaced the OEM battery with a Duralast Platinum AGM. I got concerned when it cranked a shade sluggish yesterday morning. I was happy with 5+ years of the original but with winter coming.....

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
Generally, the more surface area the more effective the brakes. More area to grip, more area to dissipate heat etc. As you can notice performance brakes are always bigger for this reason. Just seemed interesting that they would chamfer those pads the result is the loss of 10 to 15% of the contact surface area. Not that we're driving high performance trucks I just thought it was notable.

I had previously switched out my SR grille for a TRD one acquired through this awesome forum.

Today, I mounted some 4Runner off road takeoffs bought through marketplace. Now to drive around and confuse others which trim my Tacoma is spose to be :)

Absolutely pure shooting from the hip here with no actual information... But... I remember when I drove my Tacoma off the lot just how touchy the brakes were. I also know that the surface the brakes are clamping against is no longer going to be a flat parallel surface with the new brake pad. The brake needs to wear in a little bit to take on the same shapes... Maybe this is a path for reducing the jerky-ness of the brakes while they are still wearing in? I agree though... It leads to less time before replacement or more time to stop to have less surface area.

Buddy of mine that works at Toyota body shop called me asking if I would be interested in a Flex tonneau cover with "light" hail damage. He sent me a pic and yes on one section there is half a dozen hail stone imprints on it, the other two sections seemed to be ok? For $200 will all hardware included I think I'm going to jump on this deal.

You may be correct, but my first cynical thought was some aftermarket MFR is simply cutting the material to save costs while providing a minimally acceptable product. Clearly the OEM spec hasn't changed.

Nice. One if the next items on the list but unsure about how they’ll play with my Bedrug liner.

Just completed my first DIY oil change on my 3rd Gen. Went with AMSOIL Signature Synthetic oil and filter. All went well, after a few frustrating moments. Now that it’s complete, how do I go about clearing the Maintenance Soon notification that pops up?

So it says the mic fits a "Toyota Tacoma 2016-2018 – Replaces factory microphone in the overhead lights." The mic in our 2020 is in the headliner on the driver's side, but there is a small opening between the map lights in the center console. Is that the same mic position as '16 - '18 and did you install it there in your '22? TIA!
