I was replacing my brake pad pins and noticed that my sway bar end links angle with the top more rearward than the bottom. I didn’t snap a picture, but this one shows the angle mine’s sitting at.

From what I understand about how the end link is supposed to work, isn’t this side loading those joints? I think this angle is a result of my Total Chaos UCAs and the built in 3 degrees of caster.

Aside from the possible side loading, it leaves my end link joints at a severe angle. I think when the truck is sitting at normal height (no suspension loading) the end link bolts should be 90 degrees from the end link shaft. Shouldn’t the sway bar be relocated rearward to fix this angle?

Yes, I know throwing out the sway bar is an option.

I don't think that amount of angle is anything to be concerned with. Plus, due to knuckle geometry just steering the truck left and right is going to change the angle as well. The positive caster of the UCA could add to the angle, but also the king resi bracket moves the frame side pivot forward for clearance of the larger diameter coilover.
All of these things are a factor from modifying the truck from stock and lifting it. If you daily the truck and like the limited body roll and control of the sway bar leave it in place. If the joint fails, remove the bar at that point or replace it with someones that removed their sway bar in good condition, or buy new end links.

Yea, that’s what I was afraid of. Seems like the sway bar would have to be redesigned to be longer on the sides and wider overall to clear aftermarket coils. I daily the truck, but I might pull the bar and dial up the low speed compression. If I’m comfortable with the handling, I’ll leave it off.
