Early Thursday morning, i lost my little buddy, my mini aussie Ollie. it was sudden and unexpected from a health point of view. He was 10, but healthy and active. Apparently there was a tumor in his heart that all of sudden caused bleeding and fluid to buildup around his heart.

We went from happy and healthy to making the worst decision we have ever had to make in a matter of hours. My wife and i dont have human kids, we had a fur kid. Some dont understand, but he was our whole world. We are just devastated and lost, find myself looking for him, hearing his feet, his collar. I know time heals all wounds, but ive never had a wound hurt so much.
Life changes quick. Give your pets a hug, dont be too tired to take your dog on a walk after work. I always lived my dog dad life around the fact that i was his whole life. We have friends, family, work. Your dog has you.

Sorry for the loss. Understand completely. Lost my "first son" a few months ago. He was 17, been with me for what seemed an eternity.

Thank you all for your kind words. I really just needed a place to vent and connect with others.
The suddenness is what hurts most. I didn't get to grow old with him
