Found a 2015 double cab trd off road 2 owners California rust free truck with pretty good dealer records no accidents with 51k miles they’re asking 34k but I’m assuming I can take at least 2k off so is this truck worth about 31k?

Prices can vary alot depending on your location.
All I can say is make sure it's really a TRD OffRoad (alot of SR5's with TRD stickers out there), also make sure you give it a good inspection or have a shop do a pre-purchase inspection before you buy.

Personally, I don't think it's a good deal. If this is something you've been specifically looking for, as long as it's worth it to you.
Don't want to put that money towards the new Tacoma?

I specifically would rather have the 2nd gen over the 3rd gen. I owned a 3rd gen it was good and all but personal preference. I know the price is on the steep end but low mileage clean 2nd gens are getting harder to find

I should have been more specific. I meant the 2024 Tacoma.
I also had a 3rd Gen and didn't like it.

It’s not worth $31k to me.
It’s an 8 year old truck.

If you’re willing to to spend $31k, just go in debt some more and get a new(er) truck.
Sure, I hate on the 3rd Gen trucks at times. But they are actually pretty good trucks.

Low miles but too much $$$$ for an 8 year old truck soon to be 9 years old. I agree with TnShooter , spend a little more and get a new or newer truck.

I don’t think they will discount the truck… I’d pass.

I’d try to get the price down some, but that truck is just barely broken in, 51k miles is nothing. Offroad you get the factory diff lock which is great. You can easily drive that truck for the next 10 years.

I own a 2014 TRD Offroad pre runner. I have 48,000 on the clock. Has a few cosmetic flaws, just paint, nothing major. I was thinking if I sold mine I would ask $27,000. $34,000 seems real high to me.

That's about the current going rate for 4x4 TRD offroad w low miles. 2nd gen prices have actually been climbing in some areas because they're more desirable than the 3rd gens. If it's what you want and can actually get for 31k I'd say go ahead, who knows when the market is gonna settle. Still more than I want to pay but know what it looks like out there

That's about 3k less than I paid for my 2015 brand new :anonymous:

But, like mentioned above, 51k miles is practically a brand new truck. I wouldn't be put off by the mileage at all. Mine has 158,000 miles and the drivetrain has been flawless the entire time. No warning lights of any kind ever, it's never no-started or left me stranded.

If it truly is clean and well kept I'd seriously consider buying. Take it to a couple shops and get a presale inspection done

It comes down to how bad you want the truck. There are no deals when it comes to toyotas on the west coast.

10 years later when it's still running fine you won't even be thinking about how much you paid
