So, I might be doing a thing that will irk people? So I've been told?

I know a SAS 1st gen rock crawler on tons and big meats is nothing new... but I'm going to cut up an S-Runner to do it. :) (they are precious? I dunno..)

    Anyways, normal build list:
    • Ford Dana 60 - have (non SD)
    • 14 bolt - need
    • Chevy 63s - need
    • 37"s - have (will go to 40"s, but these were cheeeeeeap! All 5 for the price of 2 wheels)
    • NorthWestFab EcoCrawler dual cases - need
Already have a 4wd R150f w/tcase sitting in the garage. And I still don't know what I'm doing for front suspension. Everyone is going to word-vomit "3-LINK IT YOU IDIOT THERE IS NO OTHER FEASIBLE CHOICE"... I've read through many TW threads.. but yea, probably start with front leafies. Cheap.

Thanks! It really is kind of a pile though.. 350-380k? unknown. Bed floor is swiss cheese, running like pyoop out of nowhere, frame is a touch flakey... but it doesn't have ABS, so perfect for my SAS.

OOOHHHHHH, Those are wheels stood up next to the truck for display purposes, I thought the actual wheel stuck out like that and was like "What in the hot and crispy Kentucky fried fuck am I looking at?"

    oopdate. Nearly a year later.

I got the dumb thing safety inspected! Don't ask me how..

14 bolt acquired (and the 63s); converted to 9/16-18 studs to match the D60. Grizzly locker installed and e-brakes all rebuilt.

Second D60 acquired. Opted to get a different axle that match the 4.10s in the 14 bolt. Found a late 80s Kingpin, all cleaned and painted and NOT from the Titanic like my previous one.

Accidentally received a brand new Detroit locker for the D60 when trying to buy a second Detroit/Grizzly for my dad's 14 bolt; not mad about that. Was only $500 off from new. When I regear to 5.38s I'll plop that in.

I have a major question, if anyone happens to read this; How far forward and how far backward do you (if needed) push the axles when going to 40s?

Oh yea, also have a set of 40s waiting for me to pick up, and a set of Method Bead Grips I'm waiting to be shipped. Anyone in VA want to buy my 37s?
