At least one of us is.

I’m glad you have that experience under your belt. Maybe one day I will too.

Anyone have experience installing rough country 6" lift?

Fixing to start it this evening on a 2019. I'm pretty mechanically inclined on working on trucks. Just looking for anything I may need to be aware of or expect.

Install is pretty straight forward. If you have a 4x4 then keep the crossmember piece that you cutoff just incase you decide to reverse to sell you can have it welded back on. If you have a Prerunner no cutting needed.

I don't think I have seen this issue on any gen of the Tacoma but, just in case, this fix may save you a few bucks one day if you have a broken vacuum port. I was driving my 2003 Camry today and the CEL popped up. Ran ok. Got home, ran a scan, and had P0441 and P0442 for VSV faults (purge solenoid). Popped the hood to check the vacuum lines. Sure enough the vacuum port was snapped off at the base of the solenoid. Cheap part to replace from $35 on Amazon to $60 at local stores. Pulled it off and figured I would try to fix it. Long story short I fixed it free. Took an ink pen apart, removed the tip holder, turned the tip (on mill with lathe insert clamped in vise) for a press fit into vsv, cut a short piece of the pen body and superglued it together and into the vsv. Fixed and no codes. Saved a few $$$. MacGruber !!

Appreciate it. But I'm pretty sure RC sent the wrong cross members. From the frame mount holes to the lower control arm holes center to center is only 3.5". Supposed to be a 6" lift.

Other components in the kit combined will yield about 6" lift. If those holes were 6" apart you'll probably get 8+" of lift throwing off the geometry of the suspension. The rear blocks are 4"

Probably didn't need glue or epoxy since I made it such a tight press fit. As long as it holds vacuum I will let it ride. If it fails tomorrow it only costs me one ink pen. Better than paying Autozone $60, or Toyota $110, since I can get a Dorman from Amazon for $34.

New speakers and tweeters all around. Sound deadened the doors while they were open. Now I'm sitting in the driveway testing everything out with some Tool.
Overall an easy job that just took a bit of time. And a million cuts on my hands.
