Anyone using a Retrax or Syneticusa retractable tonneau cover? Any comments on how you like them? I'm looking at the Retrax XR and a Yakima rack which is crazy pricey (around $3,000) or the Syneticusa and their rack which is considerably less, around $1,700, but still pricey. I read one comment on the Syneticusa cover that said it rattled like crazy above 70 mph.

I had the Retrax on my tacoma Shortbed. It worked great even for Sub-Zero temps. Only downside is the canisters takes up some room.

I've been running a RetraxOne XR for a couple months with a Yakima bedrack and RTT. Drove a little over 3000 miles on it so far, including running Rubicon and a week offroad in Canyonlands.

No real complaints. I've been in rainstorms, driven through a lot of dust, and washed the truck a couple times and the gear in the bed has stayed clean, dry, and secure. As far as the rack goes, I'm not huge on how the Yakima rack is attached to the tonneau (the hardware is "backwards" IMO, and the nit/plate should be in the T-slot, not the bolt), but it does the trick and has stayed tight. No rattling at all.
