so I have truck bed lights that I installed with a switch in the truck bed to use for camping and I want to use them when the truck is not on. But when I tap into a hot fuse, it is automatically powering them in the switch, but the switch won’t turn the lights off. Can anyone help?

So how is this wired…power to the switch and the other side to the lights?

sounds like whatever harness you have isn't wired correctly.

yes. The lights are ran to the battery and there’s another lead to the switch.

Sounds like the switch is either bad or connected incorrectly.
