You probably won't make it to Dillard by 3:00.

    And it's "Bigun's BBQ". :p

Ya'll can take me off the list for this run. I did beasley knob this weekend. It was a good time but now my truck is having issues that I'm going to have to figure out before I go to the woods again.

sorry to hear that, have you started a thread with the issues? also curious if the wheeling caused the issues.

It's a weird thing. It sounds like a bearing going out. The noise comes and goes though. For instance it will be quiet in park, I'll put it drive and it gets loud. I'll put it in neutral and it goes away. Put it back in park and it's there but not as loud. It sounds like it's coming from the rear of the engine- front of the transmission area The truck seems to drive OK but I'd really hate risking getting stranded

What trails did you run in Beasly? Did the truck hit hard anywhere?

One time, I bent the transfer case skid plate on a trail. Made noise when it touched the transfer case - which was not constant. Thought I broke something.

That may be all it is. I hope that's the case. I haven't gotten up under it yet to look. I got home about dark last night and I'm at work all week. I did hit pretty hard. I did that first trail to the left before you come into the parking lot. The one with two routes and one being straight up rock bouncing. I did not do that route. Then when you get to the parking lot and go up that hill route I went up that trail and stuck to the left when it came to multiple directions. There was some big rocks to crawl over. I did come down of a few obstacles a little hard. It was pretty much dry though so it at least wasn't slippery. It was my first time going.

I'm also out. I have to requalify for security team on the 7th, and I missed the last qualifying event.

My truck has a grumble in this exact scenario. In my case, it is the air intake tube rattling against the metal as it passed through to the fender. The foam piece that is supposed to isolate the two isn't doing a very good job. I can take it out and put some thick electrical tape on the metal edges, and that will fix it temporarily. Something about the transmission engaged (i.e. in Drive) that makes the engine vibrate more than if it is in Park or Neutral.

Your interview must be over. I hope it went well.

In Dillard, there is a Piggly Wiggly on the east side of 23, on the north end of town. I'm thinking we can meet in the parking lot at 2:30 - 3:00, hoping to head for the trail as close to 3:00 as possible. This will either get us to camp early, or allow plenty of time to find a place to camp.

I am planning on having lunch at (see 1st post) around 11:30, if anyone is interested in joining.

We are going into the "woods" - all of which can be used as a bathroom.

Perhaps you need to read "How To Shit In The Woods" by Kathleen Meyer. Most informative.
