It’s so easy I could do it. I didn’t replace the visor mirror bulbs that came with the kit though (too bright).
I did blow a fuse as there were no indications on the polarity of the bulbs and I’ve heard this happens often enough (also an easy fix).

Could always contact blackstone for an oil analysis. It’s $35 to know the condition of your motor…somewhat at least. Got my first reading back and they suggested a 7,700 mile oil change based in the condition of the oil and the miles it had on it.

I think he ships a metal template now? That should make the cutting process pretty straight forward. A few pieces of advice: (1) silver sharpie works great on black trim and can be removed with a little acetone or isopropyl alcohol and (2) whatever you do to one side of the hole, do to the other.

Trace the plug with the silver sharpie, use the biggest bit you have to drill a hole in the center of the trace, use whatever you you have to cut diagonally from the hole to the corner of the trace, then follow the trace staying on the inside of the trace. Then take either some files or sandpaper and slowly work your way to the trace. Every so often, test fit the plug, see where it interferes, and remove that piece of material—remember to remove a little material on the opposite side as well to ensure that the hole stays square and on center. Just go slow, fit and refit the plug, and eventually it’ll just snap in and look like it was supposed to be there.

Thanks for that. I have never been quite satisfied with final finish because I have more basic tools (drill, jigsaw, circular saw, hand-sanding tools and only bought a random-orbit for the desk) and lack of precision was my demon. I have developed techniques over the years to compensate, but wish I had a permanent place to have table saw, drill press, etc.

For anyone concerned about long-term negative mileage impact with an OTT tune, here's today's freeway results (avg 70 MPH or so). Had it done last February - OE size wheels with Toyo A/T III tires.

I think the truck really has to be tuned for any potential gain. The OTT tune was amazing by itself so any other increase I look at like a gift.
Yes they do sound good which was my main objective since I’m very happy with the power level as is. Borla’s are a nice well made exhaust I ran them on my SVT supercharged Cobra with a Bassani X pipe and it was deafening but man sounded wicked like a nascar.

I've had these sitting in the shed since August, finally got around to installing them. Love the new sound. Definitely an upgrade over the stock speakers. :thumbsup:20231001_142822.jpg

IMG_0103.jpgThat’s good to hear, been thinking about getting the OTT tune. This was my trip the other day all stock on the interstate doing 75.

Installed 1320 bed stiffeners from eBay. I have a GFC Topper, so figured why not for peace of mind. I had total chaos stiffeners on a previous tacoma, but these go to the top of the bed and are low profile for a lower price, so I rolled the dice. Install was smooth/as expected, although I snapped the top screw on the driver's side. Got it out, so all good. Lots of tie down spots too, which is overkill for my needs, but you never know.
