I love my RWD, keep sandbags or a RTT to keep some weight back there and it handles well in the rain

So. Is the 3rd gen 2wd open diff, with auto lsd provided by braking? And trac off is just no braking (so raw open diff)?

I have a 2wd 4runner and I'm learning about the diff, which T lists as 'automatic lsd' and provides no information about. It's not widely discussed on 4runners site.
I have auto lsd on 1 press of my vsc off button (vsc and precollision off but reengage around 40 . . . auto lsd stays on thru 65+mph) and get trac off with hold of button (as well as vsc perma off). I don't have any other buttons or atrac.

If the diff on the 4runner is mechanically open I'm thinking it's best to avoid trac off and use auto lsd. Thanks guys. You might not need a condom if you have a vasectomy.
