    Good Morning Everyone,

Don’t post often so not sure if this is in the right forum or not. But I recently went to grab my jack under the rear seat and noticed oil sitting in the compartment… Is this normal? A buddy who is a mechanic said it could be a rust preventative oil, but that doesn’t sound right.

another side note, I got in an accident with this truck about a year ago and there was a pretty extensive repair list. So I’m wondering if it may have been from the Toyota Collision Center that worked on it. I wouldn’t put it past them since there were several other items I caught them cutting corners with and even to this day continue finding different things. I’ll leave a photo of my finding.

I'm wondering if its excess lube/anti-corrosion on the jack screw.

From the jack unless you also store your personal lubricant in there. :)

The screw jack has a lot of grease packed in it. Perhaps it separated a bit and oozed out. Similar to that drip from the steering shaft some owners have reported.
