    The holes are for drainage. That's why even the factory plastic "skid" has holes.

    C4, victory4x4, RCI, ricochet offroad: just a few on a cursory look for solid plates rather than cnc cut holes. Get a sheet of stainless steel and bolt that to the inner side that’s exposed. Stainless would be a little more of a pain in the ass to drill for Dingus McGoo with their beater Walmart black n decker and drill bits for wood.
