Factory tires, rotated every 5k. It was at 20k they said there looks to be an issue with your alignment

See above, did what I was supposed to on a new car, except didn’t get an alignment when new

If you knew you had frozen lca alignment cam bolts and were going to dealer for tires and alignment, would you tell them about the seized bolts? Or hope the alignment tech gets overzealous trying to loosen cam bolt and snaps one and has to fix it? Are they on the hook if they snap a bolt?

Depends, most places won't put in a ton of effort. I know Town Fair for years now won't break out the torches anymore. A lot of places just want to cover their ass from having to pay for parts

Had my mechanic who I trust look at them a while back and he confirmed they were seized. Luckily they froze the alignment within spec haha

Makes sense, not trying to get a set of free lca’s out of the deal. Just don’t want to open my mouth and screw myself over somehow either. I’ve just been avoiding the lca job since it’s going to probably cost a lot and ball joints and alignment are still good

Yea I'd just see what they say. The job usually isn't too bad, just have to cut out the arms that sucks and can take awhile. Otherwise just get loaded LCAs from rockauto and new cam eccentrics from the dealer

Most places don't even mess with them.

I have marks on mine(to see if they move, not for the alignment).

Last time, I paid for an alignment on the Tacoma, the caster was never adjusted... made a comment, they immediately gave ME shit, and said there wasn't enough adjustment, blah blah... I paid(my mistake), then, before I left, looked under the truck, nothing moved.

    Went back in....

Needless to say... for my money I got a toe and go, and the COMPANY, lost a lot of fleet work....

Just tried another shop with my stupid duty, will see how THAT pans out(haven't had a chance to do a proper drive with it yet).

Speaking of which, anyone want a pampered, well maintained 1ton?

I doubt they would put too much effort in. They will see that it’s seized and leave it be. I had to cut mine off with a sawzall.

In all honesty, I thinking real hard on it. It's had about 5k miles put on in 5 years... and close to $20k in the ,as 18 months(new england issues).

I just swapped a rear axle, because the spindle rotted... all its issues are because it is never driven. Alignment helped a lot, and it doesn't shake any more than any of our fleet welding rigs.. I just need to drive it. My driveline guy gave me shit, and said HE is gonna drive it to work once a week....lol

Kinda gave up on trying to find a slide in I like. Any of the options I like are gonna be 50k new and custom.
I'm starting to get bored, and trying NOT to cut up...

Anyone got a good day->multi day trip around New England? Girlfriend left me and I'm trying to get out while the foliage is out. Trying to stick to dirt roads but open to some 4x4.
