Trying to mount my winch control box under the hood. Anyone have a pic of where they mounted it. Or can describe where they put it. The one spot that has enough room won't seem to work because the wires would be rubbing the hood. It's a 2012 double cab Baja edition and Warn evo 10k control box. Any help is appreciated

Best picture I have. Original Engo winch box was mounted above and to the left of the winch. Replaced with a Smitybuilt it’s control box is mounted on top of the winch.

Another old picture, it conveys the idea, control box is wireless but still accessible from the top if I have to use the wired controller.

When you're standing at the front of the truck, mine (Warn XD9000) is on your left side (passenger side) backside of the metal part that holds the radiator. I had to make a bracket for it but it's just a bent piece of bar stock. If you do something like this make doubly sure that you protect the wiring so that it won't get abraded- I have split hose around the hole opening as well as hose zip tied around the wiring.

A have the Warn wireless remote kit and the Warn handheld wired remote in the truck and I usually leave the winch positive cable disconnected from the battery unless I'm going off-road or need to use it.

I'll have to fab a bracket, I've install a winch a bumper as well so that spot won't work, I've already purchased the relocation kit so I've got plenty of cable. The spot against the fire wall on the passenger side has some studs sticking up for some reason. Lol I'll fab a bracket to mount there then attach the control box. Thanks though

I have the same winch you do - there's an overview of the process I followed starting here:

Bracket on those studs, and wiring info from here to post #49:

Wiring the EVO series for in-cab controls:

A note on the wiring - the 10k shows a max draw of 358A. The supplied wiring is 2AWG; I believe the relocation kit is as well. I went with 2/0 for the supply run and 1/0 from the controller to the winch studs, based on that max draw. I already had a good crimper, so the additional cost of the wire and some lugs was minimal over the cost of a premade relocation kit.
