Unfortunately it didn't come by it honestly, either somebody worked on it before not knowing what they were doing, or this bike has a more sordid past than we knew. The triple tree bolt had backed off, the fork pinch bolts weren't tight, and the most damning is the spanner nut on top of the head was hand tight. Another red flag was when we took the forks down, the upper plug in the fork tube is supposed to be retained by an internal snap ring. Both were missing and the plugs just came shooting out of the forks. Fortunately I had recently bought that second ninja 250 which is identical to his, so we're doing a front end swap.

I don't have a bike Jack or lift table, so to keep the front ends up while we took them apart, we pulled the riding mower up and strapped them to the front end to hold them in place. Works surprisingly well.

Well it sure wasn't in my garage last night.
We'll be tackling the reassembly on Saturday, gave him a ride home last night once 9pm rolled around.

I don’t see why the expense of the jet, Myself and @FlyingWolfe, is warranted when you adapted
nicely.
Then the expense of the same to return it..

 

I don't think @FlyingWolfe would know how to help with these plebeian consumer bikes, being the duck lord, those fancy tools wouldn't work with the loose tolerances of a clapped out ninja

Well, my wife went to visit a puppy at the shelter we got our current dog from. Sadly for her, the family that had fostered the puppy ended up adopting it this morning. No new dogs in our house just yet. Our dog is ready for his afternoon walk, all dressed and happy.
