Hello thanks for letting me join Tacoma World!!

For the past 8 years before August I was unhappily drove a Buick Encore. I had trucks before that but wanted something different. I finally decided I would start looking for a Tacoma about 2 years ago. They are a higher prices vehicle and being a single mom I needed to find one that wasn’t too old, but also one that was a decent price for me.
I finally decided I wanted to get a white TRD one, but it had to had to have the hood scoop, sunroof, as well as the nice rims. I don’t think I ever spent so much time on the AutoTrader app as well as Kijiji looking every day and night felt like and more time went on the more problems I was having with my Buick in and out of the shop. One night while going through Kijiji, I came across a Tacoma. It was everything I wanted except it was Barcelona Red, not white, but it was also a decent price. I wondered why, then noticed it was a six speed standard so I emailed the dealership right away, probably about 10 at night. The next morning I got a phone call from a man that worked at the dealership, a dodge dealership, who noticed my enquiry so gave me a call. The first thing he said, “you do know this is a 6 speed standard right?! I replied yes in fact that’s great. My first truck was a standard so I’d be very excited to take it for a test drive. They brought it to me, about an hour and 15 min drive, to take it for a test drive. I fell in love the front was comfortable to sit in and the back seat is the most comfortable backseat for a truck I’ve ever sat in. Needless to say I got the truck and even though it’s not white, I’m so happy with it and I’m also so happy I’m not another white Tacoma driving around town.
the picture of the truck alone is the one on the dealers website and the second is a picture of the changes I’ve made so far. I’d like to put a chip in it but I am looking for recommendations and keeping my eye open.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
It’s the nightmare that’s coming that you’re gonna have to deal with. That exhaust tip is the bomb! Congrats on the new truck!

    Welcome to TW.

Very nice MT Sport with sunroof!

I'm partial to the "Skewp" since I have a Sport too...but with AT and No Sunroof...in Midnight Black.

Not too many owners compliment the back seats...but hey, glad you like it.

Some may tell you to remove the front air dam...your call. Are you doing your own oil changes?

Enjoy your new truck and this great forum.

Thank you everyone for the welcome and compliments or input. I don’t know how to reply to each comment, so sorry.
@Jeffch thank you. I like yours to!

@TacoTime55 I do love my skewp or scoop lol. I think it gives it a sportier look. My first truck when I was 16 was a base ‘89 GMC shortbox step side. I put his scoops on the hood I already had as well as Nerf bars and a wing off the back of the cab. It was black, but old. The midnight black would be super nice. One of my dads employees, that I hang out with, did the first oil change last week.

@Canadian Caber thanks. I’m loving the colour more and more.

    Hey Mandy/Amanda,

I purposely spelled “scoop” as “skewp”. Basically, because it’s only for show and has no purpose. lol

Sounds like you have a history with trucks; you’ve got more lingo terms than I do. lol

    Thanks for sharing your story.

You are a true truck owner.

This is my first new truck and I wanted to spoil myself since I had our 2003 Honda Pilot EX since July 2002.

Sadly, that SUV was totaled when a lady decided to take the suicide lane and hit my driver's side frame as I waited to make a left turn.

We bought that vehicle because we have 2 daughters and we were moving around quite a bit during my military career.

Our girls are both married...wife had her 2017 Elantra and Ed wanted a new vehicle.

This was a vehicle I wanted...the TRD brand...but not the reaching TRD Pro pricing.

I'm happy with my purchase regardless of what anyone thinks.

Enjoy your ride...sorry to break the news to you.

Great lookin truck, congratulations, that's a nice update after driving the Pilot for 20 years.

It's not too many cars that will get owners excited enough to search for 2 years, it's nice to see your search pay off.

BTW, I like the skewp too :)
