I'm not a good gabber to begin with, don't follow sports or current events and don't do anything very interesting.
(as regular reader know )

That said, if I see someone in a parking lot with an interesting ride I will often approach them.

If you see some dude who spent hundreds of hours & thousands of dollars fixing something up they generally are glad to talk about it.

 

When I'm driving the wagon the people who speak to me are almost always over 40, younger folks not very often.

 

Poll: I read the room. Some people don't want to be spoken to and others you shouldn't, but otherwise I'm pretty friendly to people.

 

I would consider myself pretty chatty. In a group I like to pick out the most socially awkward individual and try to relate with something obvious that they care about. I get that from my dad. He will talk to anybody about anything, all day long.
