I had the capsulotomy done to my right eye a couple of years after cataract surgery and it was a quick and painless treatment. Certainly a lot less uncomfortable than having the edges of my torn retina laser "welded" back in place. Not that the laser hurt because there aren't any pain receptors at the back of the eye, but the opthalmologist shoving his thumb and forefinger into my eye socket to manipulate my eye for a better aim was kinda distressing.

The good news is that once the capsulotomy is done it's fixed; it won't come back. Not like my retina that had to be welded again a few years after the first one .

I am having this procedure to both of my eyes, one eye at a time. The date is the last Wednesday in October and the first Wednesday in November. If this does not fix the entire problem then it could mean I need to outer eye covering polished, and that will be a painful procedure. I believe the name of the process is called Anterior Capsule Polish.

I live this dream every day.

Good Morning. I am going to start to make my own hot sauce this year. I have quite a few peppers that will be picked in the garden today. This will be a fun month-long process.

Question: Has anyone tried to improve your penmanship at a later age? I would be interested in how that worked out for you. I am going to purchase this book to see if it helps me write better.

Had that done in both eyes . Takes about 2 minutes .There was no prep for mine It’s the capsule you’re born with in the eye where they put the artificial lens . Clouds up . I had a vitrectomy in my left and just straight up laser repair in the right eye . I’m lucky I can see with my left . Slight double vision for ever but you just learn to deal with it . I had 10 tears in my left retina and 3 in the right originally and cataracts were the side effect of my surgery.

Glad we're just discussing eyes, skin and arthritis, other things we could have are not that fun either. When my dad was alive, he once asked if I could bring him his pistol while he was in the hospital. They were carving him up pretty good. 4 surgery's for gangerine on his left leg. They were trying to leave him some leg. But ended up losing it. The guy was a 200lb man most of his life. 76lbs at the end.

 

Sorry Murray, that’s tough to watch. Unfortunately I know that feeling. Thank goodness for modern medicine, it makes it somewhat easier.

 

Beer I will do ,volleyball no . No running or lifting over 20 pounds according to eye surgeon and cardiologist. Lots of walking nowadays. I beat myself up too much when I was young .

Morning all:

today, calling for heavy tomorrow, then supposed to cool off, will be back to hunting Mon. and then Tues my buddy has a morning dental appointment. Don't mind missing some hunting during these first couple weeks, it's way too warm, then it's crunch time after the middle of Oct.

Hate to hear stories like that Murry, my one friends brother asked him to do the same thing while dying of cancer.
