Took my truck on a trail and noticed that it tracks slightly left when I have the wheel straight. Did some research, took a look at the mount brackets for my lower control arms, and behold, here’s the left LCA mount bracket IMG_5046.jpg

so what do I do? How badly did I screw up

    I’m confused.

Was the truck tracking straight … then something happened while you were off roading …then it was tracking left ? Then you took pics of the UCA?

what happened while you off roaded ?

did you simply have the alignment checked ?

So maybe I have the part ID wrong on my end. But here’s what I mean:

Compared to the right side, the space looks perfectly aligned while this is a little off

Peep one of my responses to another user, I probably have the part ID wrong since I’m kinda truck stupid; but here’s the part on my right side for comparison: this one is perfectly fine, I’ll quote again with the left side

Appreciate it, I’m a lil new to wheeling so I was praying I didn’t do anything serious. I’m gonna be taking it in to get aligned in a few days

IMO, based off the photo you posted I see nothing wrong. Don't sweat it. It's easy to knock your alignment out on these trucks. Our cam tabs tend to bend allowing more play causing your alignment to get all whacky. There's aftermarket solutions out there from various companies. Get an alignment and if your worried about it do some research into those aftermarket solutions

There's nothing wrong with your LCA bushing in the picture, they have a little bit of give and aren't perfectly tight. What you're probably reading is that you can bend the tabs on the cam bolt on the LCA, which is 90 degrees to the left of your picture, and this would result in your alignment being off.

Take a picture of the side of the LCA while you're in front of the vehicle. We need to see this part:

I can kind of see the tab in your first picture and it actually looks OK but you might have bumped the bolt.

Hm. From my experience it’s not easy to knock alignment out after a day of trails.

I’ve only had 1 alignment done in 5 years, my truck never wondered left/right. I’ve been to this trail in winter where my front wheels got airborn, still no issues.:)

It really just depends on how you drive and where you’re driving. I knocked mine out 3 trips in a row before I caved and got the Marlin braces.

My cam tab was folded up on itself making for an interesting install.

Get the alignment checked. FYI the dealer will do it for free if you’re within 12 months 12k miles of new purchase . Just tell them the truck pulls to the left and report back.

really hard to tell any issues from the pics you posted but I can tell you both my 21 and 22 Tacoma were out of alignment in the first year.
