I've called around a few times and haven't really been able to find anyone willing to install sliders and one off-road type place won't install anything not purchased from them. I've resolved to just try to getting better at DIY, so I'm going to pick up some jack stands and try bolting them on myself. I'm not mechanically inclined so my question is what is the appropriate hardware for bolting on these slides?

The original hardware was cut off and disposed when the sliders were removed to do some rust treatment, so now I'm unsure what to get and where I can find what I need to put them back on. I haven't found much searching, which is why I'm posting here.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, when I installed my RCI bolt-on sliders I added as many extra bolts as I could. I'd suggest a) using only grade 8 hardware 2) Adding bolts to any holes that line up between the slider and the frame. Get larger washers if the slots are too large, increasing the size gradually, washers will bend. If you can park in Lowe/HD parking lot while adding bolts you will save a lot of trips.

Great, thank you. It doesn't seem like they need to be especially long, just fully threaded right?

First off, hit the rust spots on the sliders with a wire wheel then hit it with some rattle can to prevent rust issues on the sliders themselves

Next up, just look up instruction manual or a write up online regarding your own sliders and most likely you'll find the hardware specs there (just google)

Worst case, you measure the opening as well as the length of bolts needed, and based on those specs you can figure what diameter bolt you need

Grade 8.8 or better can be had at any Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, wherever
