Battery charger question

    Anybody know is it safe to hook up a battery charger like a Battery Tender or a Noco to the truck battery, like with the alligator clips, while it’s still hooked up to the truck’s battery cables?

    Just didn’t want to cook anything. I figure the battery relay is open to the important stuff when the ignition is off but wanted to be sure.

    Nothing wrong with that at all, I did that with my
    $70 Noco Genius5 , 5A Smart Car Battery Charger, 6V and 12V Automotive Charger, Battery Maintainer, Trickle Charger, Float Charger and Desulfator for Motorcycle, ATV, Lithium and Deep Cycle Batteries
    Noco Genius5 all the time.

    No issues, I do it with my AGM to top it off. Per the manual you’re not supposed to exceed 5a charging while hooked up to the vehicle though

    Yes, I have a Noco Genius 2D mounted under the hood on all my trucks that's permanently attached to the battery. Just plug it up when needed.
