Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Out enjoying the day yesterday. Looking for a remote lake, but it was blocked by a big washout and berm followed by a hiking trail, so I visited a nearby lake.

Nice moose. Saw a lot of fresh moose tracks yesterday, but none spotted. 6 grouse, all females so a male must have been nearby strutting his stuff.

Took a short run up Tecuya Road(9N19) in Las Padres NF this morning, I was alone so didn’t go to far but still spent 3 hours or so up there.

If you're coming up from Silverado Canyon Rd, it's left at the fork rather than right towards Santiago Peak.

FOX Weather Channel has a show called "Park'd". A lady visits all of the parks in the US and Caribbean. One episdoe is her driving up Hell's Revenge. May repeat a little later today (Sunday, Oct 8). I hope someone can use this message.

Went to Geezers trail in Land Between the Lakes in Trigg County Kentucky today and got me a big surprise when I found a deep ass rut near the edge of mud hole. Was cruising along taking my time then felt the front end dive. I got lucky I’d say bc it didn’t burn the effin alternator up as I saw the muddy water get just over my hood for a second as I mashed the gas to get through lol had a blast all in all just a little scare

It is not. I was in Upper Muley Twist Canyon in Capitol Reef NP a year ago, and while turning around, I backed about 1" too far into a tree branch which was sticking straight out toward the truck (I never saw it). The end result was "time to get a new tailgate." I found a guy on eBay who sells the shell of the tailgate, pre-painted your color and new for around 500$. Since it wasn't a genuine Toyota part, he couldn't emboss "Tacoma." I also had to purchase the plastic which runs along the top of the tailgate (~60$). I finished the job for under 700$ (aka Stupid Tax). OEM would have been thousands. The TOYOTA steeker is my tip of the sombrero to the classic trucks of the '80s (of which I owed several).
