Yep. From the pictures, this truck simply looks awful all around.

Perhaps the lower trims will cut out the trash...

 

I also sat in the JCCS prototype. I adjusted the sit to fit myself (6’1”) and this was the leg room behind. It’s almost comical.

 

Its not really the size of the screen for me. I hate the lack of integration into the dash. This isn't just a toyota thing for me. It's across the board w/ interior design these days.
Put a huge screen in there. Just make it blend into the dash seamlessly. Oh, and give me regular knobs for controls too. And I'm happy.

 

So miserable most of you are . None of you have even sat in the truck yet it sucks lol.

 

I wonder if the screen will work or if the seat shocks will hold air in twenty years. I like to believe Toyota has superior electronics, I still wouldn't mind having some analog gauges which are probably computer controlled anyway just in case. What happens when that digital cluster fails?

 

I sat in it! More comfortable than my 3rd Gen but still kinda cramped. I sat the new GX too, that’s more likely the move for me but I’ll miss having a truck.

 

Whoever buys those Iso Dynamic space seats will just be using the rear passenger area for storage

Toyota is only adding unnecessary weight on their race truck with the rear seats. They should just pull them from the production spec truck at this point.

 

Honestly it should have been an extended cab. I’d take the longer bed over a useless backseat any day.

 

XCab is much more Baja anyway.

 

No texture on the Iso Seat side panels and no carbon fiber. Not representative of production? I can see it looking nicer but not necessarily smaller.

 

The base model Tacoma in 2006 was a lot more base than a base model Tacoma today.

The $14,280 is correct (5-lug 2WD regular cab 5-speed manual).

I have 2 kids and car seats...long trips suck lol

That’s absolutely ridiculous. How can they allow something so dumb to be manufactured?

 

I like the Pro and I like the idea of the Iso Seats. Not happy that they take up more room in the back seat but 85% of the time I'm the only one in the truck and 99% of the time there are only two people in the truck so definitely not a deal breaker. If they were optional would I not get them? Maybe. Would they be a $500 option or a $1,000 option? Doesn't matter if they are optional, 98% of the Pros made will optioned with them.

 

Definitely not the finished seats but looked like production size.
