Don't know what mower you've got but if its a bigger yard and you want to mow faster for a walk behind I couldn't be happier with my toro timemaster, its dual blade 30 inch wide, only negatives I have is the deck does get clogged with clippings pretty bad if the grass is really wet and that it weights around 150 lbs so I use ramps to get it in and out my truck unlike my Honda which I used to just pick up.

I need a tractor… put the little tiller and stump grinder to use over the weekend. Removed a lot of roots and stumps from the front yard to prepare for seed.

Odd how the camera skews the color.

That soil should be much more orange in color.

Opology in advanced: I'm aware that 10% of the male species has a degree of color blindness.

Regardless, looking forward to chatting this winter.

Aww its a little trailer, I have no use for one of those as I don't even own a house but since I bought my zero turn I keep thinking about buying one just for the heck of owning another trailer. Its possible I have a trailer problem, I bought my first trailer when the only vehicle I owned was a motorcycle.

Coils came in Friday, got them on and cranked right up. Cole mowed the whole yard without a hiccup.

Saturday after his baseball game I told him to get the mower and mow again to see if it was okay. Right out of the shed it was doing the exact same thing as before the new coils. I'm at a loss on this thing. New fuel pump, carb, and now coils. One day it's fine, one day it's not :frusty:

It's got to be something ocking the fuel. Debris partially blocking the fuel line, bad check valve in the fuel line? Vacuum line to the fuel line cracked?

This problem is bothering me as much as it's irritating you.

I replaced all the fuel lines, valve that switches between the tanks, pulse line going to fuel pump, etc. I may have gotten a bad valve is the only thing I can figure.

Can you grab some extra fuel line then run it directly to a small gas can? Eliminate the onboard tanks for testing purposes.

One last thing that I thought of

A couple years back I had a Toro that would act up.

When I changed the engine, I used too long of an engine to chassis bolt. This bolt was also the chassis ground strap bolt.

I thought it was tight because I ran out of threads and the nut stopped turning.

Correct length bolt and the unit just purred!

This likely won't apply to a mower, but just throwing it out there in case....

About 30 years ago, I had a 1980 Toyota Hilux pickup. When I first bought it used, every once in a while, it would have periods for a few seconds of extremely sluggishness, when I backed out of the throttle, it went back to normal. My dad and I looked all through the carburetor, disconnected and checked fuel lines, fuel filter replaced..... tried buying fuel from different brands of stations (Chevron, Shell, Arco, Texaco,....), tried various fuel additives. It only happened maybe every couple weeks.

Well, finally my dad got the idea to drop the fuel tank and see if there might be sludge near the fuel pickup. The culprit turned out to be one of those little safety seal tear offs from a bottle of fuel additive (we guessed) from a previous owner, that would periodically get sucked up to the fuel intake and temporarily plug the line, until I let off on the throttle which relaxed the vacuum from the fuel pump, and the little POS dropped back into the tank and un-plugged the fuel line. I had never used any sort of fuel additive in the truck, so I knew it wasn't my mistake that this thing ended up in my fuel tank.

as a long time Hustler owner/runner was gonna suggest that you empty & clean out both tanks. make sure the goo is out of them & that its not making a flap on the inlet.

farther down the road: if you havent changed ALL the rubber? do so! those hoses get a flapper in them sometimes.

someone else already mentioned that you should run it off a different can of fuel for a bit. thats a great idea. run the supply hose straight from a can of fuel & if the problem is gone? you know its in the tanks/lines.

you said you put on a new carb... but even new ones can have sticky floats. it happens a lot.

That new carb wasn't running up to par so I took it back off after running it a little bit and put the original back on, ran great...until Saturday.

I got home yesterday and trimmed a few trees back and it started raining so I decided to tear into this one that started running away......

    IMG_9728.jpg
    IMG_9733.jpg

Drained the oil and turned it over to pull the base off and I heard some rattling inside.

    IMG_9736.jpg

Just as I suspected, the governor came apart. Found all 6 balls, not sure where the rest of the plastic is.

    IMG_9734.jpg

This is the 1st Kawasaki I've ever been in, got on partstree.com and ordered the governor piece, crankshaft seal, governor shaft seal, and base gasket for $82 and change. The base gasket was $45.99, the governor piece was $5.99  Now if I can just get it back together.
