They were popular back when I used to run dirt bikes and ATV's. Drew hit the nail on the head, they trap stuff inside and can actually promote corrosion. If you were doing a high speed run and just put them on for temp protection, that's one thing and maybe they'd actually do some good. But they're not a good idea for a daily driver, in my opinion.

My main apprehension is I somehow missed something that needs to be repaired and I'm SOL for taking the check

There should be like 15 bumper options

It’s a bit overwhelming since for some reason it feels like i have to make a decision soon even though i don't think i really need to feel rushed, i do

    Lol

Some insurance companies have an allowance for aftermarket parts for repairs, such as replacing a factory bumper with a steel bumper.

Take the money and wait for the "Black friday" sales ......almost all of the TW vendors run them. Can't go wrong with a BAMF Hybrid front......Just saying

Ah I got rear ended and I’m allegedly still waiting for my plate front from SSO

I kinda want a swing out, at least something with sonar and higher clearance. RCI seems like an affordable option sans swing

Somewhere along the way in moving stuff I created a "divot" in the middle of my hard tonneau cover. It's small, but it needs to be patched before it starts raining this weekend. It's maybe a half inch long and an eighth of an inch wide. Most of it is still there, just loose.

Other than Gorilla Tape on the underside does anyone have any suggestions for a fix?

I'll probably replace it at some point, but that's not an option now unless a used one shows up cheap.

What material is the cover? Maybe a patch of some sort like a tire patch sort of thing, there are patches for vinyl as well.
