DRL Wiring for YotaVerse V2 Grill.

Hey all, first time posting here. Wondering if y'all have any suggestions on what could be going on here with this grill. I followed the instructions from this guys video on how to wire up the side DRLs and turn signals for the YotaVerse V2 TRD Pro Grill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPzXkYWtbQ4&t=5s

So far I have the amber blinker lights working fine and the grill DRLs turn white when my main DRLs are on. My issue is that when I have my headlights on at night, the grill DRLs do not turn on. They light up when I use the blinkers or hazards but they do not show white as they do when just using the headlight DRLs.

My wiring setup ended up being a bit different from Modern Day Viking's, the blue and yellow turn signal wires were reversed from his grill and tapping the pink wire did not turn on the DRLs at all. I then ended up finding these photos from another post on this forum (apologies, I saved the photos but not the link to the original poster for these awesome labels).


Tapping the green wire on the driver side labeled "DRL" in this photo allows the grill lights to be on when only the DRLs are on. As soon as I turn on my low beams they turn off completely (blinker function still works). Can anyone give advice on how I can get the grill DRLs to be on when just the main DRLs are on and when I have low beams on?

 

Get a harness from FBC Harness Solutions. Or assemble one yourself.

Need output of DRL and Parking circuit with diodes on each. once you loose the DRL signal, the Parking circuit remains powering the added lights.
Too bad the grill's DRL doesn't have a Bright n Dim option.

 

Thanks for this. I ended up wiring both the raptor lights and grill DRLs to an add-a-fuse so they are on with ignition. Blinker function still works.

No 3M vampire taps like in the YouTube video.

 

This is a diagram of the wiring pigtail that goes in the back of the headlight unit correct?

I'd like to tap in to have the DRL's on in the day, but not at night, and then have the turn signals wired up so they flash with the sequential turn signals of the headlights. ('23 TRD Sport 4x4)

Where do i get this harness from FBC Harness solutions?
