If I find some down time, I'll rewire my raw voltage on my plasma cutter

New rear CPC plug arrived from PrimeWeld so I can solder just the torch ON/OFF barrel plug.

Also a new plug for + and - for tapping into that raw voltage.

For the most 'professional' look, I really should just mount the plug to the rear so it comes out the same way the factory plug does since it's the same style port (but with a different attachment type and color to prevent confusion).

 

Going back to self-employment. Tried this W2 thing again for 13 months, didn’t stick.

Anyone had any luck with the Miller Trailblazer with the air compressor built in? I’ve used an old simple machine but that piqued my interest.


I’m looking at the Trailblazer 325 EFI

but the 302 Air Pak has a built in air compressor for my plasma torch…

Anyone used one? Not thinking the price hike for less capability elsewhere is the most tempting.

So it’s all tacked on…. And it looks AMAZING… only to discover that I need to think of new mounts cause after tacking the rack to the mounts I realized I don’t have access to the bolts. DO-OH. But lawd it feels good to see it on the car in place.

 

Well another member has spoken up about taking and disposing your rack for you

I on the other hand propose disposing your tube bender cause clearly it's the tool's fault and not yours; you're way more precise than that thing could ever be

Just make bolt plates that bolt to your mounts.

 

Problem is I don’t want the mounts to be bolted vertically. Because that leaves chance for the rack to shift when loaded. So I’ll have to modify my mounts from an angle design to a C design with nuts welded to the top plate then weld a plate to the rack for the bolts to go through basically.

I know there are a lot of variables but what should I expect to pay for 2" square tubing per linear foot approximately?

 

The 20' of 3/16" square tube I bought was under $80...think it was like $74 or $78.

Had bought some for my rear swingout on the Land Cruiser; used some of the remainder for my vise stand and whatever else shit I needed. Still have a bit left over.



Unless it's scrap I can find, it's going to be new and in 20' lengths here.

 

Thanks! I need about 60' to make an aquarium stand and kicking around cost to make versus buy. Of course making one will be much more fun and satisfying!

 

At 8lbs per gallon, aquariums get stupid heavy so I understand the need to overbuild.

I take it you're creating an entire frame with this tubing?
