Rear diff was NOT happy after ~2" lift (fox 2.5's). Lots of vibes, lost roughly 3 MPG just from lift. Knew something was amiss so installed 3 degree shims. Worked wonders; no driveline vibes, got my mpgs back. Went out and murdered two tires on the trails. The front passenger side was shredded. The driver side rear was punctured, down to 6 psi before I added air. Couldn't plug the rip, but the leak was roughly 1psi every 5 minutes. It took a long time to get home lol. Nice to know the stock tires can deflate that far without slipping the bead. Clearly load C tires are not for me. Picked up some new wheels (SCS F5), now off to get some 285 load E KO2s. Let's see what I break next!!!

There was a single OE LED headlight for sale for less than $100 on FBMP for some time in my area. Only thing wrong with it was a broken tab, I'm sure someone with some skills could have repaired or done something with it.

I would part ways with R/L LED-Halogens for $200 ($100 EA). The shipping would probably be expensive...I have both in the boxes each LED came in.

No broken tabs or messed up wire connections. Pics would be posted if anyone is interested.

Shouldn't you divide the miles traveled by gallons added?
276 miles / 16.195 gallons= 17.042297... That's how I always did it manually. I think Fuelly does it that way too.

For long distance trips yeah...that's a good idea.

I drive about 10 miles per day, M-F for work. Then grocery shopping on weekends...maybe 7 miles.

On occasion, I'll drive to Baltimore or up north to Wilmington...maybe I'll do the math then...?

Mostly, I like doing the number of miles traveled/counted on Trip A.

Good catch. It’s miles per gallon vice miles per tank size. Don’t think I’ve ever drained the tank and then filled it.

When I first started coming to obx you didnt need saltwater license. I have only been checked once and it was an undercover officer riding by. He walked up and was asking about fishing then said “Can I see your fishing license?” I said who the hell are you? He showed me. He was pretty cool about it.

Thanks man. I made it when I had my FJ. Just took some pvc pipe cut it, and bolted it to the cargo carrier. I also cut a notch out for the reels to set in. I’ve used it for many years.

Got one. Works pretty decent. I sprayed my frame with Amsoil's Mudslinger before heading out to the OBX. Nothing stuck and rinsed off pretty easy.

I don’t have a problem with pay-to-play, but then they turn around and close half the beach to ‘protect’ the piping plovers and sea turtles. What ya gonna do??? I’ve obeyed all laws when it comes to hunting and fishing so I’m not that jerk that gets busted without a license.

The recording won't do you any good. You would never see where the bolt came from. I see sloppy contractors trucks almost everyday at home depot and Lowes. A bunch of loose stuff rolling around in the back of their truck waiting to fall out. Just take it to a tire shop and get it patched. It's happended to me twice while parking on the contractor side. I park where the old ladies buy flowers and plants and push my cart farther. No more flats for me so far.
