Your are sure that's not from the old weights that some one else hammered on?

Well if you decide .. here’s a idea ...my wife mis-judged a curb downtime rubbed her pass rear (ate the edge up pretty good spot) in the Camry when she first got it (anyways long story short) I found a mobile wheel repair guy that did a amazing job and you can hardly tell where it was even at and it was under $100 and came to the house (granted that was just one wheel) ....it’s just a idea thought I would share ...

Last weekend I took my nearly new (2,000 miles) 2023 TRD Pro in to a Big-O tire shop because I picked up a nail. I debated taking the tire off myself and taking only the tire to the shop, but talked myself out of it as my being too paranoid. I brought along a silicone sleeved socket so they wouldn’t scratch my rims when removing/replacing the lug nuts. When I got it back, my NO2 valve stem cap was missing. As I drove away, my truck started beeping indicating that my hood had been popped and not put back down. Finally, the worst of all — somehow my drivers side door was scraped near the bottom, compelling me to buy touch up paint for my new truck. I really, really hate anyone touching it, but sometimes you have no choice. Next time I will remove the tire myself so I only have to worry about the rim and the valve stem cap.

Good for you on a couple things
    Not losing your cool
Giving the dealership an opportunity to make it right

the dealership I use for my Tacoma, takes video of the truck on initial checkin, so if anything happens there’s no argument……we can all do that with our cell phones too……just an idea.

If you’re happy with the deal…..good for you……I wouldn’t have let them repaired the wheels, because then, they’re repaired wheels and some places won’t take them on trade.

I would however asked if they had takeoff rims in your size……..

First service at my local toyota dealership with my trail edition and they already manage to scuff up one of the rims pretty good while doing a tire rotation. Even the centre cap edges were scuffed.
When i pointed out the damage the dealer offered to have wheel repaired but we agreed on wheel replacement instead. Glad I took pics of the truck right before I had it serviced. Still a pain in the ass though.
Ive never had wheels damaged from a simple maintenance service up until now. Mechanic probably didnt have his morning coffee.

When I drop mine off, in addition to the lugnut lock key, I furnish a silicone sleeved socket so that they will not scrape the inside of the lugnut channel with their impact driver. Just the same, I dread inspecting it when I get it back. Also, the dealership is not the only culprit. I took my truck to a Big-O tire when I picked up a nail. I got the truck back with the hood popped and the alarm for it going off, a missing NO2 valve stem cap and they scraped the paint on the driver's side door of my brand new truck. I have a lot of anxiety anytime that I have to have anyone touch the truck -- and for good reason.

Its kind of like other people do not care about your property the way you do, even when paid for service! I had the front clip PPFd from what I thought was a reputable installer but they made a mess, even cut into some of the paint. Had to take to a second shop to get some of it re-done.
I think ill stick to doing work on my truck myself wherever possible.

Many people suck... this is why i do my own rotation and oil changes. When I go for other service, I remove the wheel caps, I remove the skid plates, etc. .

Big O tires in my area scratched my rims too, but I just let it slide... sometimes you just gotta keep your cool and just think many workers don't care about other peoples' property.. but KARMA will catch up to them.

I would take the repair offered by the dealer. They can make them look good again
