Well yes you can. He bought a new truck from a Toyota dealer. All the options are listed on the sticker, even the ones not installed at the factory. If the dealer does something wrong your first step would be to get Toyota involved, before going to a lawyer. Toyota deserves a chance to remedy the situation. If the person still isn’t happy that is when to get a lawyer involved. Toyota has a lot of control over the entire process. That includes the dealer and the wholesaler, they all carry the Toyota name. If they mess up enough, Toyota will cut them loose.

Burden of proof is very high. It's very rare to sue and win on Lemon laws. Here's my state lemon law:

In order for us to obtain a full lemon law repurchase for you pursuant to California’s Lemon Law, we have to prove 3 things:

    1. Your vehicle was taken to a factory authorized dealership for a specific defect four or more times (for the exact SAME problem each time); and
    2. The defect cannot be repaired under the original factory warranty after four or more repair visits; and
    3. The defect substantially impairs your use, value, or safety.
    Is Your Vehicle Substantially Impaired?
The substantial impairment requirement means that your vehicle’s defect needs to be serious enough that it severely impacted your use, value, or safety. If you are putting more than 20,000 miles on your vehicle per year, this makes it extremely difficult to prove that your use, value, or safety have been substantially impaired.

The BBB is a club businesses join, they have ZERO regulatory authority. Yelling into a garbage can gets you the same result but it more instantaneous.

Retired state Lemon Law hearing officer disagrees.

The entire process in my state is only several months application to hearing decision.
Review the applicable statutes. Craft your statements to meet the criteria, i.e. show you gave the opportunity to repair, suffered loss of use and value. Most cases with a finding for the manufacturer resulted from purchaser not affording dealer opportunity to repair. There's a big difference between a guarantee and a warranty.

But what do I know, I only did it for years

This is quite the horror story. Any ideas on how others might catch any roof leak early? I park in a covered garage so it would take a while for me to notice a leak if I were to install a roof rack improperly or have a 3rd light leak.

Does your State have a Lemon Law? Sounds like it's time to get a Lawyer that works in this area of expertise.

There are companies that do "Flood Mitigation" that probably have some sort of "sniffer" device that can document the presence of mold. Can's be healthy for you to be exposed to mold.

Guys come to this forum with an issue. People that they don't know spend considerable time and effort in helping them solve a problem. Then, instead of paying it forward to the next guy who has a similar issue, they disappear instead of reporting back with a conclusion....or even an progress update. The experts who freely offer their time on this forum ask for nothing in return, except a post with results. Not too much to ask. If I have spoken out of turn or too soon to allow sufficient time for the OP to respond.....I apologize.

This doesn't seem real to me. I'd hire a lawyer though if it is
